An Ola & Uber alternative for Tricity drivers

Same car. Same hours. Same roads. The only thing that changes is how much of each fare the app keeps — 5% instead of 25–30%.

What the commission difference is worth, ride by ride

These are not projections. Each row is one completed fare, with GediGoo's real deduction (5% commission plus GST on that commission) against a platform taking 25%.

The part we are not going to dress up

GediGoo has fewer rides per day than Ola or Uber. We are a Tricity operator, not a national one, and pretending otherwise would waste your fuel and your time. The honest pitch is this: keep your existing apps, add GediGoo, and every ride that does come through GediGoo pays you about 20 paise more in the rupee. Nothing about that decision requires you to gamble a day's income.

Adding GediGoo alongside your current apps

  1. Keep driving exactly as you are

Nothing needs to be cancelled or paused. This is an addition, not a switch.

  2. Register on the GediGoo Driver app

Free on Google Play. Mobile number and OTP, then upload licence, RC, insurance and Aadhaar or PAN.

  3. Get verified free

Our team reviews the documents. There is no verification charge.

  4. Run both apps and compare

Accept whichever request comes first. After a week you will know, from your own numbers, which app pays you better per hour.

Why our commission can be this low

It is not a promotion and there is no expiry date on it. GediGoo is a small Tricity operator with no national advertising budget, no driver-incentive programme funded out of your fare, and no layer of regional franchisees to pay. The 5% covers running the platform. A company spending heavily to acquire riders in twenty cities has to take 25–30% to fund it, and that money comes from the same fare you collect.

GediGoo charges 5% commission plus GST on that commission (as required by law) — that works out to about 95% of the fare reaching you, and we show the exact split on every ride in the app.

Driver FAQs

Can I drive on GediGoo and Ola or Uber at the same time?

Yes. You are an independent driver partner, not an employee, and GediGoo does not ask for exclusivity. Most drivers who join us keep their other apps running — it is the sensible way to try a newer platform without losing income.

Do I have to close my Ola or Uber account to join GediGoo?

No. Nothing needs to be cancelled, transferred or proved. Registering with GediGoo is a separate, free signup with your own documents.

How much more do I actually keep on GediGoo?

On a ₹200 ride GediGoo deducts ₹10 commission plus ₹1 GST on that commission, leaving you ₹189. A platform taking 25% leaves you ₹150 on the identical ride. The difference is ₹39 per ₹200 fare.

Does GediGoo have as many rides as Ola or Uber?

No — and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. GediGoo is a new Tricity operator, so ride volume is lower than the national platforms. What we control is the commission: you keep about 95% of whatever you do earn instead of 70–75%.

Will my documents need to be verified again?

Yes. Every platform verifies independently — we cannot see another company's records. You upload your licence, RC, insurance and Aadhaar or PAN in the GediGoo Driver app, and verification is free.

Is there a joining fee, deposit or subscription?

None of the three. Joining GediGoo costs nothing and there is no weekly or monthly charge to stay on the platform.
